Dan Turnbeaugh

Dan Turnbeaugh

Director - USN Veteran / Alumni

Dan served seven years in the Navy before receiving his Bachelorís degree in Literature from Ozark Christian College and then continuing his education with a Masterís in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. Dan loves to have fun, play hockey and enjoy the outdoors especially hiking, mountain biking and fly fishing. His greatest joy is spending time in the mountains with his wife and their three boys.

 

 

 

David Bissell

David Bissell

Cultural / Campus Liason - USMC Veteran

David is a former Combined Anti-Armor Team (CAAT Platoon) crew member from 3/8 WPNS Company in Camp LeJeune. He was also stationed in downtown London, England for over a year working security. David is currently embedded in the civilian family sector and proudly studying Communications and Human Services at UNC.

 

 

 

 

Hadley Lessard

Hadley Lessard

Activities Coordinator - USAF Veteran

Hadley served as a Security Forces Member in the USAF. She was stationed at Warren AFB during her enlistment and decided to pursue her degree in Dietetics at UNC. She enjoys spending time in the fresh air along with everything Colorado has to offer.

 

 

 

 

Aleks Nehajenko

Events Coordinator - USN Veteran

Aleks served as a Damage Controlman in the US Navy. He is currently pursuing a degree in Sports and Excercise Science. Aleks hails from Latvia and loves the great outdoors. He enjoys getting away and exploring new places when not at Veterans Services.

 

 

 

 

Al Pirila

Al Pirila

Training Coordinator - USMC Veteran

Al served as a squad leader in Lima Company 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines out of 29 Palms, California. Following his time in service, he attended Arizona State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. He is currently working on his master's degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in the Social Psychology. When not studying or working in the cottage, Al can be found inside the gym, outside with his dog or listening to live music.
