UPC Committees
Do you like planning events? Are you looking for something to be a part of on campus? Do you want to have input into campus programming at UNC? If you answered yes to any of these questions, UPC wants you!
UPC is currently looking for volunteers to serve on the event committees listed below. In order to participate on a UPC committee you must meet these requirements:
- Be currently enrolled as a UNC student.
- Attend monthly meetings set by the committee chair.
- Promote and volunteer at UPC events.
- Give feedback and insight to what students want UPC to bring to UNC
- Be personally invested in the specific committee you are a part of.
- Attend and support other UPC committee events.
- Like to have fun and get free stuff!
The Diverse Programs Committee assists the Diversity Coordinator in the selecting and organizing of events such as: lectures, films, educational events on campus, and assist various diverse clubs and organizations in campus programming.
The Traditional Events Committee assists the Traditional Event Coordinator in coordinating traditional University events such as Homecoming, Bear Welcome, Family Friends Weekend, and Comedy Club.
The Social and Developmental Committee assists the Social and Developmental Coordinator with events that provide social, developmental, and educationally supplemental programs. These programs will motivate, educate, and engage UNC students with the goal to enrich student life on and off campus.
The Arts and Entertainment Committee supports the Arts and Entertainment Coordinator with coordinating Open Mic Nights, concerts and other musical, artistic, creative programming that serves the students at UNC.
The UPC Street Team supports the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Design Coordinator in their efforts to promote UPC events through email communication, distribution of flyers, branding, creative advertising, and essentially, spreading the “hype” about upcoming events.
