Marketing at UNC

Integrated marketing at UNC is a campus-wide effort that impacts enrollment and general branding of the university. Marketing supports the university's strategic planning framework and initiatives.

Unit Marketing

We coordinate with marketers across campus to integrate the university's messaging and brand identity, reaching multiple internal and external audiences.  We maximize marketing dollars by seeking efficiencies in purchasing media.

Academic Program Marketing

We engage in an annual planning process, producing "playbooks" focused on marketing selected academic programs.  We partner with the Graduate School, Extended Campus, and Enrollment Management and Student Access to identify qualified prospective students, moving them toward application and acceptance at UNC.  We build relationships with strategic external partners, establishing clear paths to UNC programs for qualified prospective students.

Other Marketing

Most marketing initiatives at UNC are prioritized and executed as part of the marketing playbook planning process. Marketing needs outside the playbook process are considered individually. Please direct questions to Michael Leonard, AVP for Marketing, at (970) 351-1273.
