Engaged in Lively Education
The role of university relations is multi-faceted and touches virtually every aspect of the university. And, while University Relations is a division within the university, it is a work that the entire university is involved in. Together, we raise our profile, tell our story and build relationships at every level. We carry the UNC torch and help the university engage with its communities…and inspire our communities to engage with us.
Over the past five years we have made significant progress in carrying out a sustainable marketing and communications effort to realize these objectives. Communicators and marketers from throughout the university have joined together to develop and communicate our identity and provide pathways for our many audiences to participate in the UNC experience.
It is an ongoing work and we are now ready for the next phase of that effort which includes three foundational elements: renewed emphasis on academic program marketing, integrating the major marketing plans from around the university to more deeply support our strategic direction, and creating more targeted messaging and contact points with our audiences to promote more engagement with the university.
Our work helps one another connect. Helps our professors teach, mentor and inspire. Helps enrich campus activities and provide information to the vast opportunities that await our students, alumni and the community. Together we are living out what UNC stands for…we are bringing education to life.
