History
Foundation Hall, originally the "Colorado Theatre" was built in 1930. Leased to the University by the UNC Foundation in 1975 the structure was extensively remodeled in 1980.
Named for
Foundation Hall is named for the group that purchased the building and eventually sold it to UNC. This group is the UNC Foundation Inc.
Current Use
Currently it is used almost daily for performances by various groups of the College of Performing and Visual Arts, as well as by the community and by groups from throughout the state. Foundation Hall is a central fixture in the cultural activities of UNC.
