History
The building originally known as the Arts Annex has an interesting history. Initially completed in 1911, and called simply Building #1, it was demolished in 1928 and rebuilt in 1932 and 1939. The building at that time became the second central heating plant structure, or a boiler house. In 1963 the building was remodeled into an Industrial Arts Facility and, in 2002, was renovated and expanded for use by the Department of Visual Arts.
