History
Belford Hall was constructed concurrently with Gordon and Decker Halls in 1921. It is the largest of the three buildings. Belford was originally known as Women's Residence Hall #2. The building was renovated as part of the Central Campus Renovation Project.
Named for
Belford Hall is named in honor of Mrs. Frances Belford, who was a member of the Board of Trustees for many years and very prominent in her educational work of the state. Mrs. Belford was a trustee from 1899 to 1905.
Current Use
Belford Hall remains a Women's Residence Hall today. This building was recently renovated in the Central Campus Residence Halls project.
