History
Sabin Hall was constructed in 1936 in conjunction with Snyder and Tobey-Kendel Halls. The design of the structure is Dutch colonial. It was originally built to house female students during the presidency of George W. Frasier. Part of the construction of this building was funded by PWA and RFC funds created by U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt. The building was renovated as part of theCentral Campus Renovation Project.
Named for
Sabin Hall has been named in honor of Dr. Florence Sabin, She was a physical scientist internationally recognized for her medical research, as well as for her public service.
Current Use
Student Resident Housing.
