Hansen-Willis Hall

History

This is UNC's newest Residence Hall built in 1999. The building was constructed to ease the demand for more student housing. Hansen-Willis Hall houses approximately 110 students.

 

Named for

he residence hall is named in honor of Mildred Hansen and Connie Willis. Hansen graduated in 1927 from what was then Colorado State Teachers College, later UNC. After graduation, she then worked for her uncle at the Greeley Tribune, and paved the way for many women in a male-dominated field. Willis graduated in 1967 from the then Colorado State College, later UNC. She is an internationally acclaimed science fiction author.

 

Current Use

This building is a student residence hall.
