History
The Cesar Chavez Cultural Center, on the University of Northern Colorado campus in Greeley, first opened its doors in 1985. Its purpose was, and continues to be, to offer Latino students support to ensure their academic and social success in college, and to help the larger community appreciate the Latino/Hispanic culture and its contributions.
Named for
UNC tradition has been that the individual campus properties are named for the former resident or the owner from whom the property was purchased.
Current Use
In the relaxed atmosphere of the CCCC on UNC's campus, the Center offers access to computers including e-mail/Internet access, a conference/study room, the CCCC Resource Room with quality university experience. For scheduled programs and events, please refer to the CCCC Calendar of Events.
