McKee Hall of Education

History

McKee Hall was built during the presidency of Darrell Holmes and was completed in 1968. The building was funded as a result of the shortage of nurses and teachers.

 

Named for

Paul V. McKee was one of the most prominent scholars in the field of elementary education. He authored some very important textbooks and co-authored a series of widely acclaimed readers and composition books for elementary grades.

 

Current Use

Houses the College of Education (Teacher Education Programs), Special Education, COSMOS, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Statistics, Social Science, Chem Quest, Educational Technology classrooms and offices.
