History
The campus recreation center opened in 1996. The building is the result of a student referendum, which provided funding for this building and the bike path.
Current Use
This building was designed to meet the recreational fitness and wellness needs of UNC students and staff. Some of the various activities available include pick-up games in the numerous gymnasiums, a cardiovascular/weight-lifting area, racquetball courts, a climbing wall, a Group Fitness room, a massage room and access to the Butler-Hancock pool.
