Liz McMurtry

Assistant Athletic Trainer

 

Liz McMurtry joined the Northern Colorado Athletic Training staff in July 2007.  She has taken over the duties of being the athletic trainer for the Bears soccer and baseball teams.

McMurtry returned to her alma mater after spending two years at Boise State University as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.  There she worked with the women’s basketball team and the women’s soccer team.  In March 2007 she traveled with the BSU women’s basketball team to LA where they competed in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.  She is working to complete her master’s in exercise science.  

McMurtry received her Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from the University of Northern Colorado in May 2005, where she was an athletic training student.  

McMurtry is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  

McMurtry, a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming , resides in Greeley .
