Our Program

UNC GOAL’s mission is to provide students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities the opportunity to attend the University of Northern ColoradoGOAL is designed for students to achieve maximum independence through the development of academic skills, social skills, and self-determination through successful completion of traditional, inclusive college courses, UNC GOAL courses, career preparation, and campus engagement. 

UNC GOAL is a fully-inclusive, non-degree program for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to attend college courses, live on campus, and gain competitive employment at the University of Northern Colorado.

Our program is an opportunity for students with intellectual disabilities to attend UNC with their peers. Students complete a highly individualized program that is tailored to their interests and strengths. Students then work with the GOAL team to design the following: a personalized course of study complete with classes that are modified to the student's academic skill level; a thriving campus life; and meaningful and exciting career opportunities following the program's completion.
