DARLENE
LeDOUX
Darlene LeDoux has dedicated 30 years as a leader in education in the state of Colorado and the Denver-metro area. She currently serves as principal of Archuleta Elementary School in Denver Public Schools.
LeDoux served in Denver Public Schools as advisor to the chief operations officer in 2006- 2007, as assistant superintendent on special assignment as principal of North High School (2003-2006) and as assistant superintendent-school community partnerships (2002-03). In addition, she has been a school principal at both the high school and elementary levels. She’s also served as human resources director and elementary principal for Cherry Creek Schools, was a bilingual and English as a Second Language teacher in DPS and began her career as a first-grade teacher at Northeast Elementary in Brighton, Colorado.
Among the numerous leadership and service positions she's held, LeDoux has been president of the Colorado Association of School Personnel Administrators and president of Colorado Association of Elementary School Principals, as well as active in community organizations benefiting the Latino community in Denver and Colorado.
She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in education, administration, supervision, curriculum and instruction; a master's from CU in Bilingual/ESL Education and a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Colorado in elementary education with an emphasis in special education and bilingual ESL education.
