25 Ginnala Maple

Tree number 14 on the Central Campus Loop is the largest of 46 Ginnala maples on the campus. This tree is native to northeastern Asia, from easternmost Mongolia to Korea and Japan, and north to southeastern Siberia in the Amur River valley. It is a small maple that leafs out early in the spring and is sometimes grown as a garden subject or boulevard tree.
