Essentials Exploration November 16th at Centerra

This free, introductory hands-on Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) workshop introduces you to the Library of Congress’ wealth of online resources and immerses you in strategies for engaging students with primary sources. In this workshop, you will investigate informational texts, explore ways to enhance visual literacy, and experience strategies to promote inquiry. Explore the rich online collections of millions of digitized primary sources available free from the Library of Congress, plus a wealth of teacher resources. TPS workshops address the Common Core standards, embedded in Colorado and Wyoming state standards, which bring new focus to reading and understanding informational texts in multiple formats. This introductory workshop is a prerequisite for all other TPS offerings.
