Information for Teacher Cadet Graduates

Dear Teacher Cadets:

UNC faculty have made a decision to accept your Teacher Cadet coursework toward teacher education programs. If you have received B or better on your Teacher Cadet class, you can request credit for STEP 161 (2) and EDF 366 (4) classes. If you declare one of the Secondary Teacher Education LIcensure programs, you should notify Dr. Middleton and request placement to Phase II skipping Phase I. You will still be expected to take the seminars (but not field experience) associated with STEP 161 concurrently with STEP 262.

In addition, Physical Education/Sport Pedagogy faculty may waive EDFE 170 on a case-by-case basis for students in the Physical Education Program.

To request the credit, please send a legible copy of your Teacher Cadet Certificate of Completion (The Teacher Cadet Program Portfolio Review certificate), with both Portfolio and Class grades B or better. If you know it, write your Bear #  on top of the certificate.
