Bear Hug completed projects

Knit 4 Neighbors, 2010

Erin McDonald, one of our Secondary Education majors, saw a need and developed a program to meet it. She solicits hand-knitted scarves via an online drive. Other talented knitters send her their scarves and then Erin knits a matching number of scarves which she then donates to the needy. Her most recent donation came through the Bear Hug Club to the homeless children of Greeley-Evans District 6. Now 22 children have new, warm scarves to get them through the remaining winter months. Way to go Erin!!

Project Christmas 2009

The entire School of Teacher Education participated in this year's Holiday Gift Drive for needy children & a food drive for homeless children in School District 6 was added.

Over 100 students and faculty participated in the gift wrapping party where 260+ donated gifts were donated. Thanks to all who donated gifts and helped to wrap!
