General Information
Mail Service
Mail is delivered Monday-Saturday by the US Postal Service. You may send mail from the residence hall. Mail drop off boxes are available at the Information Desk. If you wish to receive mail, please have the sender address your mail as follows to ensure its delivery:

Phones
Telephones are provided in each individual room. Local calls are free of charge. To dial off-campus, you must dial "8" before the number. A long distance carrier is required for long distance calls. To call other rooms on campus, dial the last 5 digits of the number (1-xxxx).
Information Desks
The Information Desks, located on the first floors of the residence halls, are staffed 24 hours by a Desk Receptionist. Desk staff are trained to check in and check out conference participants, answer questions,provide resource information, resolve issues, and provide a variety of other assistance. Desk services include: mail and message handling, equipment checkout, room reservations, and maintenance reporting. You can also purchase stamps and obtain change at the Information Desk.
Internet Service
Wireless internet service is available in some residence halls and a login and password are available at the Information Desk.

Emergency Information
In case of emergency, call the UNC Police at 351-2245, or call 911. If calling 911, please provide the following information: full name, location, phone number, and type of assistance needed.
Fire Occurrence
If you see a fire, immediately leave the building. If the building has not gone into full alarm and you pass a fire pull station on your way out of the building, activate the fire alarm.
Move 100 feet away from the building once you have exited. Under no circumstances should you return to the building until a staff member or police officer has given you permission. Be careful to avoid areas where fire fighting equipment may approach the building.
If there is a fire, do NOT use the elevators. If a door feels warm to the touch, do NOT open it. If there is heavy smoke, stay as close to the floor as possible and breathe through a piece of clothing.
Severe Weather Emergencies
If there is a severe weather warning, proceed to the designated inclement weather location within your building which is typically an interior hallway on the lowest floor of the building. Stay away from glass windows or doors and protect your face from flying debris.
Policies
Door Security
Doors to all residence halls are locked 24 hours a day. You may exit through a side door but you must enter the building through the front door. Please do not open doors to people you do not know. Report intruders or suspicious persons to the Information Desk or UNC Police. Summer conference staff will make periodic rounds through the building between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am.
Candles
Use of candles and/or incense in the residence halls is prohibited. Burned wicks may be evidence of use in the halls. Decorative candles must have an unburned wick or have the wick cut.
Drugs and Alcohol
Drug paraphernalia and the illegal sale, possession, and consumption of drugs is strictly prohibited on campus. Possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages are not allowed by any guest under the age of 21. Alcoholic beverages are only allowed in the privacy of a room by persons over the age of 21.
Pets
Pets are not to be kept permanently or temporarily in any of the residence halls. Service animals are allowed as long as they are properly identified.
Smoking
UNC residence halls are all non-smoking facilities. We ask that you honor the state policy of no smoking in all public buildings.
**UNC reserves the right to discontinue service to any individual who does not comply with University regulations. Under these circumstances the individual will be asked to leave at his or her own expense.
Services
Keys/Cards/Entrance
Room keys, meal cards and door access cards are issued at the Information Desk of the residence hall in which you are staying. The Information Desk is where you can get a lock-out key in the event that you lock yourself out of your room. All halls are locked 24 hours a day and you must have a door access card to enter.
Laundry
Washers and dryers are located in each hall. Please do not leave clothing unattended.
Liability
The University of Northern Colorado, Department of Housing & Residential Education, and Conference Services will not be liable for accidents or injuries, for loss or damage to property belonging to conference participants, or for disruptions in service that are restored within a reasonable period of time.
Linens
A linen packet is provided for certain conferences. Please check with your conference contact to determine if you will need to provide your own linens. Each packet includes one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, one pillowcase, one washcloth, and one towel. Pillows, blankets, mattress pads, a plastic cup, and a small bar of soap are also provided. If you are missing any of these items at check in, please notify the Information Desk.
Lost & Found
In the residence halls, items left unclaimed will be sent to UNC's central Lost and Found. Any property left by the conference, its guests, or staff shall, after a period of 30 days from the last day of the conference, be deemed abandoned and shall become property of UNC to be disposed of at UNC's sole discretion.
Parking
Parking rules WILL be enforced on campus during the summer. There is no charge for street parking so long as it is a legal place to park. Permits are required for most groups. Please contact your camp representative or the Information Desk for maps and more information.
Vending Machines
Drinks and snacks are located in vending machines in each residence hall. Please see the Information Desk if you need change. Your meal card will not work in the vending machines.
