On the right path
Summer Session classes can help your student stay on track and graduate on time. Earning credits in the summer can also help lighten your student’s course load during the fall and spring semesters.
- Flexible scheduling: UNC offers four sessions throughout the summer, including two six-week sessions, one eight-week session and one 12-week session. Your student will have time to catch up on credits, work and spend time with the family.
- Extensive course selection: There are more than 300 summer courses available in over 30 subject areas.
- Dedicated faculty: UNC’s courses are taught by diverse, dynamic faculty. Class sizes are small, so your student can get personalized attention from the professor.
- A network of support: Many of the same services offered during the academic year are available to your student during the summer as well, including health services, help from the Writing Center and 24/7 technical support.
