2009 Commencement Speaker Applications

Dear Student,
Welcome to the University of Northern Colorado! The Office of Student Engagement is here to help to make your college experience a great one.
UNC is a place that offers the total university experience through a rich variety of involvement possibilities. The total experience begins with, of course, attending class, completing assignments and studying. We want you to be aware of the importance of obtaining good grades so you can reach all of your goals. In addition, we want you to make the most of the many activities, services and resources we have to offer so that your learning experience will be extraordinary and rewarding. We encourage you to participate in activities that complement your academics and take your learning experience beyond the classroom.
The total university experience also means living in a community that is committed to respect and dignity for all, and to an environment of openness and courtesy. Visit our website at www.unco.edu/dos and acquaint yourself with the Student Code of Conduct, student rights and responsibilities, and where to go for help. If you still have questions, contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.
I am excited that you are a part of the BEAR family! We have a lot to offer and we know you do, too, so get involved in your campus community. I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
Sincerely,
Raul Cardenas, Ph.D.
