Funding Opportunities

External Sources of Grant Funding

UNC faculty and staff are invited to contact the staff of the Sponsored Programs & Academic Research Center for assistance in locating potential sources of external grant funding to support specific areas of research or scholarship as well as teaching and service projects.

For those who wish to research funding opportunities on their own, or to receive automatic email notices of grant programs targeted toward areas of interest, there are many ways to locate information about funding to support research and scholarly activities.

The electronic resources described on the resources page may be used to locate information on grant opportunities from federal and state agencies, private foundations, and corporate giving programs.  Searchable databases and automated notification systems can be used to identify targeted information for grantseekers.
