The Sponsored Programs & Academic Research Center (SPARC) operates as an administrative unit of the Assistant Vice President for Research & Extended Studies and Dean of the Graduate School.
It is SPARC's mission to nurture the research, scholarship, and creative activity of UNC faculty, staff and students; to encourage efforts to obtain external support for research, scholarship and creative activities; to promote and sustain responsible and ethical practices in scholarly activities and sponsored program administration; and to support the integration of the research, education, and service missions of the University.
SPARC is located in Kepner Hall Suite #25. We invite and encourage UNC faculty and staff to visit with us regarding their research and scholarly activity interests. We will work with you to develop program ideas and to identify and secure external grant funding.
