Grant Project Positions
To facilitate the process of hiring personnel to work on grant funded projects, UNC has designated two exempt administrative positions that are commonly used on grants. The Position Description Questionnaires (PDQs) for these positions are approved for use by Human Resources, saving the Principal Investigator the task of developing a complete PDQ for each hire.
The PI need only add information, if applicable, concerning any unique physical demands or unique working conditions related to the position, and attach a list of the specific duties and responsibilities unique to the position being filled, including supervisory responsibilities and specialized abilities.
Use of the Grant Project PDQs will not change the procedures involved in hiring; Principal Investigators should follow the personnel procedures of the department or unit through which the grant is operated.
