Welcome
Sociology is the study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Since all human behavior is social, sociology explores topics ranging from the intimate family to the hostile mob; from organized crime to religious cults; from the divisions of race, gender and social class to the shared beliefs of a common culture; and from the sociology of work to the sociology of sports.
Lively discussion is a hallmark of courses in the University of Northern Colorado’s sociology programs, which are also known for their engaging faculty and focus on the acquisition of practical skills.
Whether you major or minor, or go for a master’s, you’ll choose from a rich variety of courses, and class sizes are generally small enough to facilitate meaningful discussion.
SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
