ALPHA KAPPA DELTA

International Sociology Honor Society

Alpha Kappa Delta is dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of academic excellence, achievement in sociology, and promotion of an interest in sociology, research in social problems, and activities leading to human welfare.

Who May Join:

Undergraduates must be sociology majors or demonstrate a serious interest in sociology. Students must:

  • Be at least a junior
  • Rank in the top 35% of their class
  • Have an overall GPA of at least 3.0
  • Have a sociology GPA of at least 3.0
  • Have taken at least four sociology courses

Graduate students must:

  • Have completed at least one semester of sociology graduate study
  • Have a graduate GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Have continuous enrollment towards a sociology graduate degree

    • Careers for sociology majors

  • Make a check for $40 to AKD
  • Return form and check to Sandra Harmon
