Grand Teton National Park is currently seeking a student intern for this coming summer. The intern will assist biologists and ecologists in numerous projects including but not limited to: searching and locating sagebrush bird nests, observing nests for chick survival and documenting predation, conducting habitat surveys, assisting in plant seed collection, and participating in habitat restoration projects. The candidate must be able to work long days in the field, both independently and as part of a crew.

The candidate must be a student (undergraduate or graduate) during the Spring and Fall 2007 semesters. The candidate is not required to have previous bird or vegetation identification skills.    Housing will be provided but may be shared with other students or researchers. A stipend of $2,000 will also be provided. Beginning and ending dates for the internship are flexible but the selected intern would preferably begin by June 1 and work until late August.
