Content PictureThe Heritage Resource Management and Education Institute is involved with the facilitation and coordination of grant and contract–funded research and professional service projects related to cultural and natural heritage issues mainly centered on publicly-administered (federal, state, and local) lands in Colorado and the western United States.

The Heritage Institute will capitalize on long-standing collaborative research relationships with federal agencies and land units, such as Rocky Mountain National Park, the state of Colorado, and local cities and towns, such as Greeley, in developing new, or expanding existing, heritage theme projects.

INSTITUTE HIGHLIGHTS:

HRMEI is involved with the CESU-RM (Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit), whose mission is to improve the scientific base for managing ecosystems in the rapidly changing social, cultural, and envionmental landscape of the Rocky Mountain Region, and to extend its expersie to national issues where appropriate. Several CESU-funded projects are in progress or under development.
