The Social Science Program
at the University of Northern Colorado


The Social Science Program at UNC consists of an undergraduate multidisciplinary major and the Hewit Institute for History and Social Science Education.

The Social Science major provides students with a broad multidisciplinary perspective. Our majors take most of their course work in several social science departments and the College of Education. The Social Science Program offers the following courses: SOSC 200: Exploring Colorado, SOSC 300: Social Studies Methods of Inquiry, SOSC 341: Teaching Secondary Social Studies, SOSC 400: Senior Seminar, and SOSC 492: Internship in Social Science.

The Social Science Program is located in McKee 227.
