The SRL is staffed by professionally trained, unbiased researchers who tailor projects to the unique needs of individual clients in the public and private sectors.
Meet Our Staff
DR. JOSH PACKARD
Dr. Packard serves as the Executive Director of the SRL. Josh earned a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Northern Colorado. He has an active and applied research agenda relying on university-community partnerships.
Megan is the lead researcher in the Social Research Lab, and is a current Masters student in the Sociology program at the University of Northern Colorado. She works for the Dean of Students, Office of Student Engagement, Title IX and Equity & Inclusion at UNC. As a sociologist, she studies organizations and systems as well as entrepreneurial practices and principles.
Ashleigh's focus is the Sociology of Healing. She is passionate about classical and contemporary sociological theory, and works using quantitative design research approaches to social phenomena through quantifiable evidence, survey data, statistical analysis, creating valid and reliable claims. In addition to, qualitative research through direct observation, communication with participants, analysis of texts, with contextual subjective accuracy. To critically analyze information, conduct and evaluate social research following a systematic plan and research methodologies.
Jessica is currently a graduate assistant in the Social Research Lab. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Advertising from the University of Northern Colorado and is now working towards her Master's degree in Applied Sociology. She chose to work in the Lab as a way to bring her knowledge of public relations and client work and her new love of sociology and research together. When Jessica is not in the Lab or in class, she is walking with or snuggling her dog.
