SNA is a local chapter of the National Student Nurses' Association. We are members of the Colorado Student Nurses Association. SNA meets once a month to discuss important issues pertaining to prospective and current nursing students of the University of Northern Colorado. We provide help and assistance to prospective nursing students.
The Colorado Student Nurses' Association is the state chapter whose aim is to connect with nursing students across Colorado. CSNA helps prepare students for state licensure and advocates for nursing education and legislation. It also provides links to job and scholarship opportunities.
NSNA (National Student Nurses' Association) is a pre-professional organization for nursing students. Currently, there are over 30,000 members nation-wide and over 600 school chapters like UNC's. Benefits for members of NSNA include: IMPRINT magazine, discounts on health and malpractice insurance, discounts on NCLEX review classes and books, discounts on state and national conventions, credit card programs, student loan services, and scholarship opportunities. You can become a member of NSNA by filling out an application and submitting a $30 fee. You can pick up an application at the School of Nursing office or visit the NSNA website to apply online.
