Administrative Team

2008-2009 Residence Hall Association Administrative Team Members:

President: Jamie Lloyd, New West Campus Residence Hall South

1. Prepare agendas for all Administrative Team meetings and General Council meetings if meeting calls for agenda and determine meeting format.
2. Assist all RHA committees.
3. Set protocol and operation policy with the RHA advisor.
4. Ensure that the RHA constitution's policies and procedures are being enforced in all RHA functions.
5. Chair and coordinate decision-making at RHA General Council and Administrative Team meetings.
6. Prepare and organize the RHA End of the Year Reception with the Vice President of Leadership Development.
7. Represent RHA as necessary throughout the University and the community.
8. Meet and follow all obligations and guidelines of the SRC student organization chartering and funding process with the help of
the Vice President for Finance.
9. Coordinate, in conjunction with the Department of Housing and Residence Life, the Fall Bizarre, Journey, and Lead On
program.
10. Be a liaison to various campus and hall leaders.
11. Review and propose RHA constitution amendments as necessary.
12. Schedule and reserve space at all inter-organizational events.
13. Keep on contact with the incoming RHA Administrative Team members during the summer.
14. Schedule one-on-ones with all Administrative Team members.
15. Plan and coordinate both fall and spring semester Administrative Team training in accordance with the Department of Housing
and Residence Life training.
16. Attend the Assistant Hall Director meetings and the Leadership Team meetings if and when requested.
17. Communicate with On Campus Marketing and serve as the UNC liaison for the OCM program.
18. Organize and chair the Ethics Committee as defined in the bylaws.
19. Coordinate peer Housing and Residence Life staff recognition socials.
20. Organize and conduct RHA General Council instillation processes throughout the year.


Vice President for Finance: Sarah Ward, New West Campus Residence Hall South
1. Keep an accurate account of the fiscal records of RHA according to the procedures set by the Department of Housing and Residence Life, including the accounts of the residence halls.
2. Create and oversee the RHA budget to ensure it meets organizational objectives.
3. Report to the Administrative Team and the General Council the fiscal status of the organization.
4. Train and develop hall government treasurers throughout the academic year.
5. Manage the RHA office operations.
6. Record minutes for the General Council meetings.
7. Re-Charter and fund the association as an SRC Student Organization in cooperation with the RHA president if necessary.
8. Facilitate and chair the finance council for the purpose of overseeing the fiscal operation of RHA and the corresponding hall governments.
9. Create an End of the Year Report to be submitted to the Director of Housing and Residence Life by August 1st of each year.


Vice President for Nat'l Communications (NCC):Danielle White, Lawrenson Hall
1. Report all information required by the National Information Center.
2. Report all information asked by IACURH and NACURH.
3. Represent RHA at all IACURH and NACURH conferences as an official voting member as funds when funds are available.
4. Carry out additional duties asked by IACURH and NACURH pertaining to this office.
5. Organize and develop delegations to IACURH and NACURH conferences.
6. Complete yearly re-affiliation with NACURH, Inc. and ensure that RHA remains in good standing.
7. Maintain the Resource File Index.
8. Attend the IACURH No-Frills Conference when funds are available.
9. Maintain communication with IACURH and NACURH via the listserv.
10. Submit monthly reports via the IACURH listserv.
11. Organize, coordinate, and maintain fundraising opportunities for RHA.
12. Organize the UNC bid process to create and bid for awards on the UNC campus as well as the IACURH and NACURH levels.


Vice President for Social Programming: Tiffany Ashbaugh, Presidents Row
1. Propose the formation of the Programming Committee if deemed necessary.
2. Serve as the liaison to the University Program Council.
3. Maintain the following traditional programs: Homecoming Bonfire, RHA Spring Dinner Dance, and the Price is Right.
4. If funds are available, complete a program of choice during the academic year.
5. Assist the Vice President for Service and Diversity programming in campus programming.


Vice President for Service and Diverse Programs: Katie Mandel, Lawrenson Hall
1. Propose the formation of the Programming Committee if deemed necessary.
2. Complete one service or diversity program per month, excluding the months during which there is a campus wide service or diversity program.
3. Develop three campus wide service or diversity programs per academic year.
4. Assist the Vice President for Social programming in campus programming.
5. Serve as liaison between campus and Greeley communities concerning service and/or diversity programming.


Vice President for Leadership Development: Jaime Ingrisano, Lawrenson Hall

1. Prepare agendas for all YNX meetings.
2. Chair all YNX meetings
3. Monitor all committees formed by YNX.
4. Coordinate and facilitate the OTM process.
5. Work on leadership development within the halls and general council, including training on leadership.
6. Plan and coordinate the fall leadership retreat.
7. Plan and coordinate the spring leadership retreat.
8. Ensure that YNX is in good standing with the National Residence Hall Honorary and send monthly correspondence.
9. Assess and conduct nominations and inductions into YNX as stipulated in the YNX constitution.
10. Coordinate spontaneous recognition during General Council meetings with the assistance of the Administrative Team and advisor.
11. Represent YNX at all NRHH meetings during any IACURH and NACURH conference attending.
12. Work with the President on the End of the Year Reception.
13. Attend the IACURH No-Frills Conference when funds are available.

Responsibilities of ALL Ad-Team Members:

Section One: General Responsibilities of all Administrative Team members
1. Attend all RHA General Council and Administrative Team meetings. Said Administrative Team members are granted three unexcused absences as determined by the President and advisor per academic year from both the General Council meetings and Administrative Team meetings. Excused absences as determined by the President and advisor are not counted in absences.
2. Attend IACURH and NACURH conferences when funds are available.
3. Attend any leadership conferences and retreats sponsored by RHA when funds available.
4. Give a report at each General Council meeting of all happenings pertaining to that office if determined necessary by the President and/or advisor.
5. Maintain a minimum of five (5) scheduled hours in the RHA office each week (excluding meetings). Failure to do so will be documented and a course of action will be taken by the President and advisor if determined necessary.
6. Work in conjunction with all RHA Administrative Team members to maintain good relations with the UNC community in all forms.
7. Solicit monthly Of the Months (hereafter “OTM”) and prepare at least two (2) per semester to be turned into the Vice President of Leadership Development.
8. Relay all phone, paper, and email correspondences.
9. Attend all RHA functions organized as Administrative Team Training each fall and spring semester.
10. Hold one-on-ones with the RHA advisor and President as determined by the advisor and President.
11. Present programs at RHA functions if necessary or requested.
12. Maintain communication throughout the summer with all members of the Administrative Team and the advisor. Perform requested actions as able.
