For Faculty / Staff
The Registrar’s Office provides a variety of services to faculty and staff:
- Preparing the student information system for each new advising/registration cycle;
- Managing web-based display of course section information, both in the public schedule and the “Look Up Classes” link in URSA;
- Managing the assignment and distribution of PIN numbers to advisors for their use in enforcing required advising for their students;
- Providing policy and technical assistance to course scheduling staff members in each college;
- Overseeing classroom assignment processes as carried out by the Academic Scheduling Office;
- Producing the hard-copy and web-based versions of the University Catalog;
- Assisting academic program staff members in use of the Curriculum Tracker tools;
- Managing setup of non-scheduled and directed study courses;
- Assisting instructors in using URSA menus to locate student data and to enforce/override academic policy;
- Overseeing collection of midterm and final grades, and processing grade changes;
- Recording advisors’ documentation regarding degree requirement exceptions for students.
