Student Account Activation

Go online to https://ursa.unco.edu, then click on Account Activation link.

Make sure that the Account Type selected is Student. Enter your Bear Number, Date of Birth and Last 4 of your Social Security Number (SSN).
If you don’t know your Bear Number, click Bear Number Lookup and follow the instructions.
If you don’t have a SSN or it isn’t on file, you may enter your full last name instead.

Make note of your PDID and UNC email address. You will use your UNC email address each time you log in to Ursa after your account has been activated. Click on Continue.

Create your account password and click on Set Password.

Set up UNC Emergency Alert notifications. This is optional, so you do not have to enter your phone number if you do not want to.

That’s it! Your Ursa account is now activated and ready to use. For additional resources related to your account, click the helpful links at the bottom of the page.
Important Note
Whenever you use Ursa, don’t forget to log out. Ursa contains personal information such as grades, financial aid, e-mail addresses, etc. and if you don’t log out someone else might be able to access it.
