Introduction
The Political Science program has the following opportunities for its majors:
- The Richard A. Perchlik Scholarship—amount to be determined at a later date. Applications will be available in April 2006
- Political Science undergraduates are eligible for a Welling and a Dickerson Scholarship.
- Four Departmental Scholars are recognized at the Academic Honors Recognition Convocation every year.
- Two Political Science majors represent UNC at the Annual Air Force Academy/American Assembly of Columbia University week-long conference.
- Political Science students and non-majors represent UNC at the Rocky Mountain Model Arab League, the Rocky Mountain United Nations Assembly, and the Western Model United Nations Assembly.
- UNC Research Day Panels are available every spring for presentation of undergraduate PSCI research.
- Political Science students have presented their undergraduate research at the Annual Meeting of the International Studies Association/Southwestern Social Science Association's Conference.
