Academic Excellence Awards

Academic Excellence Awards. The Provost Office advises the campus community that there will be a one-year hiatus from Academic Excellence Awards (that is, recognition for Teaching Excellence in Undergraduate Education, Teaching Excellence in Graduate Education, Excellence in Faculty Service, Excellence in Faculty Advisement, School/Program Excellence in Teaching, School/Program Excellence in Service, School/Program Excellence in Scholarship, Excellence Through Performance Assessment, and Academic Leadership Excellence). During the 2013-2014 academic year, this award program will be reviewed. Potentially revised and reinstated awards and criteria will be announced in the 2014-2015 academic year. The Endowed Awards, namely, the M. Lucille Harrison Award and the A.M. & Jo Winchester Distinguished Scholar Award, will be administered as usual during 2013-2014 and thereafter. Colleges, the Office of Sponsored Programs, and the University Libraries will continue to make their respective awards as usual. Please send any suggestions for revision for the next generation of Academic Excellence Awards to Teresa McDevitt or Kim Black by December 2, 2013.
