Dr. Couch has worked in higher education administration for more than 15 years, specifically in the area of the Office of the Registrar and Institutional Research. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1993, a master of business administration from LeTourneau University in 1998, and a Ph.D. from Capella University in education/leadership for higher education in August 2011.
Dr. Couch is heavily involved with regional and national organizations, including RMACRAO and AACRAO, as a means of staying abreast of best practices within the realm of student records/services. He is the 2014/2015 President of the Rocky Mountain Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers and 2014/2015 Vice-Chair of AACRAO’s State and Regional Relations Committee.
He joined the UNC community in May 2011, and oversees the Office of the Registrar, working with the Registrar team to provide the best possible services to students, staff, and faculty.
