Ryan Shephard's, CDI, CLIP-R, passion lies in interpreting and eliminating communication barriers. The realization of his true interest in interpretation did not occur until he worked closely with a successful Deaf business owner who had Usher’s Syndrome. That was when Ryan decided to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Interpretation at Gallaudet University. He graduated with distinct honors; Summa Cum Laude and the Blaise Wafo Ndetatsin Award for being involved and volunteering in the DeafBlind community as a student in the interpreting program. Soon thereafter, Ryan became a Certified Deaf Interpreter. After several years of working in the field of conference and DeafBlind interpreting, he joined the world of legal interpreting. He has taught different workshops related to general and legal interpreting. Ryan holds the CLIP-R certification and looks forward to raising the standards and increasing the legal interpreting capacity in our field.
