Our Workshops

We offer free professional development workshops that use a hybrid, team model. Hybrid refers to holding both onsite and online workshops. The team model refers to using teachers, librarians, administrators,and community members to promote using primary sources in the classroom.

Overall, the UNC Chapter of Teaching with Primary Sources is designed to educate participants at different levels. It moves from a workshop-based experience (level 1) to a content-focused design, implementation and evaluative experience (level 2). We offer two levels of workshops and two annual workshops: Essentials Exploration, Advanced Application, the Summer Institute, and the Winter Institute.
