Following discussions, guiding principles to serve as the cornerstone
for directing the change process were delineated:

· Value and recognize individual and collective investment in the
university
· Exercise civility and integrity
· Create a culture of trust
· Welcome discourse that will inform decisions in the best interest
of the university
· Be committed to open, honest and timely communications
· Implement a timeline driven by the academic and fiscal demands
· Be guided by clearly articulated criteria that are balanced and
grounded in the mission
· Be mindful of the various communities that the University serves
and of those that shape our future
