Richard Blanke

Areas of special interest: ethics (both pure and applied), epistemology, and the philosophy of action.

A member of the UNC faculty from 1979 until 2007, Prof. Blanke regularly taught ethics (both the program’s offerings in applied ethics and our basic course in the history of normative ethical theory), epistemology, and the philosophy of religion.

He also directed the program’s Institute for Professional Ethics.

Prof. Blanke has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York.
