I do feel that often our discussions wandered, and I think people felt lost and not interested, which detracts from the point of the class. I enjoyed the course, but I suppose there are things I could see being done differently, though I don't know if I could come up with any specific ideas right now on the spot.

Posted - Dec 03 2008 : 12:40:52 PM A part I really liked about the class would be our in depth discussion that arose on topics such as the duel. To me it helped a lot because that was what my research paper was on. Although many of the discussions were hard to get into I found the ones that were easy to get into were very interesting and helpful. The randomness of the course I think is what kept me in and interested. I especially liked our special sessions in Ross. I liked learning new and interesting things at those presentations. The part that I was not a big fan of in the class was writing the papers; I just never really got into them. Maybe the topics weren't interesting enough for me, but I was not a big fan of the papers. Another part I wasn’t a big fan of was the group presentations. It just seemed as though they came at the worst times in the course, and it made it very hard to meet with the members of the group. Overall, I enjoyed the semester in this class.
