PASC participates in a variety of community service activities each year. Past projects have included providing meals at the Greeley’s Guadalupe Center homeless shelter and collecting and shipping “care packages” to military personnel stationed in combat zones in the Middle East.
Volunteers are needed to assist with various PASC community service projects throughout the year. If you are a professional staff employee and are interested in helping with a project or have another area of interest you would like to discuss, please contact one of the elected PASC Representatives.
For our Helping Hands program, a total of $415.00 dollars were raised between the Chili Cook Off and private donations. Those funds were split between 5 recipients who each received an $80.00 gift card to help them through the holiday season. The cards were given to the recipients on 12/15/14 by members of the Community Outreach Committee.
The $15.00 that were left over will go toward next year’s Helping Hands program to support our friends and colleagues during the holiday season.

The purpose of the Bear Pantry is to supplement the food supply for any UNC students who may be experiencing hunger and are struggling to buy food. College students who experience food insecurity often struggle to support themselves while working, attending classes, and dealing with other life issues. The UNC Bear Pantry hopes to minimize food insecurity while UNC students work toward completing their education. PASC will be supporting the Bear Pantry throughout Spring 2015 in ongoing efforts to keep the shelves stocked!

National Student Exchange
The National Student Exchange is a study away opportunity that gives eligible students access to over 170 member universities in the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These colleges and universities range in size from some of the largest senior research universities to some of the best, small liberal arts colleges and offer courses that are not offered at UNC, provide opportunities to explore new geographic regions and appreciate new cultures, and learn from different professors.
By using NSE’s Plan B, the waiver currently used to off-set our campus tuition and fees allows your son or daughter to attend their host NSE university without paying tuition and fees to their host campus. Room, meals, and course-related fees (i.e., studio art, laboratory, etc) are paid directly to the host exchange campus.
