The Professional Administrative Staff Council (PASC) was established in 1986 to advise the University on matters relevant to its constituents and to participate in University governance. It is the mission of the Council to advocate for and to provide a systematic means for professional staff to communicate with the various elements of the University community, as well as with other professional administrative staf.
The purpose of the Professional Administrative Staff Council is:

to serve as the representative body for professional administrative employees of the University of Northern Colorado and to participate in such policy matters of the institution as may affect its constituents.

to function for the welfare of the University and for the employees it represents by proposing and undertaking education and service projects and actively participating in current developments and issues that are relevant to the professional administrative employees of the University.

to function as an advisory and policy referral body to the University administration and to the professional administrative employees of the University.

Meetings
Regular council meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month. Meetings are scheduled from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, and the meetings are open to the campus community. Email Michele Tyson for the location.
Employee of the Year
Chef Essig Named 2008 PASC Employee of the Year
Executive Chef Aran Essig has been named the Professional Administrative Staff Council Employee of the Year. Essig was honored during our annual banquet March 3. He has been UNC's executive chef since graduating from the Colorado Institute of Art, School of Culinary Arts. At UNC, Essig plans menus for three dining rooms and a catering department, trains and manages employees, creates recipes, writes menus, evaluates products, and teaches. Earlier this year, Essig received the Culinarians' Code Award from the American Culinary Federation Colorado Chefs Association.
