DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
In Greeley proceed southward on 8th Avenue from 17th Street. Be in the righthand lane when traversing the 18th Street (traffic light) intersection, so as to be in position to turn right (westward) onto a curving driveway a few yards south of 18th Street. Crabbe Hall is on the right as one is turning right.
After turning right off from 8th Avenue, count the third building on the right, after Crabbe Hall & Roudebush Cottage. Gray Hall is a cream-colored, brick & mason structure. A blue & yellow sign at our back door on the south side of the building indicates that Gray Hall houses UNC Police & UNC Parking Services. Another, smaller, nearby sign indicates that the public entrance to Parking Services is on the north side of the building. There are metered parking spaces near the signs. Anyone may pay a meter and park at a metered space.
There are two "accessible" parking spaces near those signs--display of a UNC parking permit is required in addition to a state parking permit in order to park at "accessible" spaces on UNC campus. A UNC Disabled parking permit would be valid displayed by itself. A few steps to the west of the signs, at ground level, a sign on the Gray Hall exterior wall by the back steps indicates that handicapped visitors may press a button & ask UNC Police Dispatch to unlock the elevator access door in order for entry to Gray Hall via the elevator.
A UNC parking permit is required to park in a regular space in the lots near Gray Hall. There are metered spaces available for those who do not have a current permit.
