Q: When visiting UNC, are state-issued disabled placards valid?
A: Visitors with disablities who display a state disabled parking placard or state disabled license plate must also buy and display a UNC Visitor Permit or a UNC daily/temporary permit in order to park in the "Disabled" spaces on campus. With the state disabled permit, the UNC Visitor Permit allows visitors to park in all disabled spaces, regular spaces and metered spaces. With the state handicap permit, the UNC Daily Dispenser Permit allows visitors to park in disabled & regular spaces in all lots, but not in any metered spaces.
