FRPB New Project Program Grants
The Faculty Research and Publication Board New Project Program provides grants to UNC faculty members for the start up of new research and creative projects.
All faculty members who hold at least a .50 FTE appointment and are not delinquent in submitting final reports for prior NPP or Provost Fund grants are eligible to apply.

Proposal Submission Deadlines
The New Project Program accepts proposals twice each year, on the 3rd Wednesday in October and on the 3rd Wednesday in March.

New Project Program award recipients are listed on the the OSP Internal Grants SharePoint website. Use the link to FRPB New Project Proposals in the menu on the left of the screen. You will be asked to log in using your current UNC username and password.
Internal Award Procedures
The procedures provide a consistent method for handling internal awards to accommodate new university budget guidelines; they apply to Provost Fund Grants, FRPB Grants, OSP Travel Grants, and Summer Support Initiative Awards.
