Transfer and Non-Traditional Student Orientation
*Online Orientation for students entering Summer or Fall 2016 is now open.
Reservations for the optional in-person Transfer & Non-Traditional Welcome is done through the orientation system as well, but the ability to select a date has closed. Please log in to the orientation system still to complete your Online Orientation requirement, and contact our office at 970-351-4626 or via email at email@example.com to learn more about how to walk in to the final orientation session.
Online Orientation is required for all Transfer and Non-Traditional students. Online Orientation will be completed through the online reservation system. It is intended to introduce student essentials and campus resources relevant to the transition to UNC.
Transfer and Non-Traditional students are also encouraged to attend an optional three hour Transfer & Non-Traditional Welcome, which provides an overview of life at UNC, opportunities to connect with other students, and advising and class registration.
Upcoming dates for Transfer and Non-Traditional Welcome entering Summer or Fall 2016:
April 25, 2016 June 6, 2016 July 8, 2016 August 18, 2016- Closed and Locked for Prepping
- This session may be the most convenient for out-of-state students. Keep in mind, course choices may be limited. You will have a course schedule you will need but times and courses may not be your first choice.
- If you are attending this last Transfer & Non-Traditional Welcome session of the summer, you will be able to move in to your permanent fall housing assignment as of Wednesday, August 17, 2016 after 3pm. So that housing is prepared for your arrival, each student will need to fill out the Early Arrival Sign Up (Click Here) in order to be able to move in early. Students who do not fill out this link will not be approved to move in early. If your travel plans dictate dates outside of the aforementioned dates, please contact Housing and Residential Education (970-351-2721) for daily rates and availability.
