Expert Faculty
Most UNC Online courses and programs are delivered by the same faculty who teach on-campus. These are experts who keep up-to-date with—and create!—the latest advances in their fields. For certain programs, adjunct faculty may be included to add unique field experience and perspective. UNC faculty who take part in online instruction are among our most enthusiastic instructors. They are excited about the opportunity to reach learners who otherwise wouldn't make it to campus or be able to attend a traditionally-scheduled offering.
Quality Matters
These committed faculty are not on their own in preparing their courses for online delivery. UNC is committed to implementing Quality Matters standards for the design of online courses and we systematically build and evaluate our courses based on these rigorous, research-based standards. UNC recognizes that Quality Matters standards promote learner engagement and provide students with the tools and information they need to be successful learners.
